Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in the Cardiac Valve Operating Room (CVOR) setting, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality cardiac care to diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute circulating nurse responsibilities during cardiac surgeries, including open-heart procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team members by anticipating needs and managing intraoperative workflows.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any clinical changes during procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
• Document all perioperative activities accurately and completely.

Qualifications:

• Hold an unencumbered RN license in Oregon.
• Obtain and maintain current BLS certification.
• Possess ACLS certification per industry standards.
• Have at least 1 year of experience as a Circulating Nurse in the OR, specifically in CVOR or open-heart surgery.
• Bring 2+ years of ICU and/or acute care experience, with preferred ICU background.
• Demonstrate scrubbing experience in cardiac surgical procedures preferred.
