Cardiac Circulating Nurse

Job Description:

The Operating Room of Surgery provides cardiac care to surgical and procedural sedation patients, serving a diverse population that includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. The team collaborates with various provider specialties to ensure patients receive optimal care, whether going home the same day or being admitted to the hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Provide diligent and compassionate care to surgical and procedural sedation patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in the Operating Room to ensure effective patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient status and respond to any changes in condition or unforeseen complications.
• Ensure compliance with established protocols and safety measures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required.
• AHA ACLS certification required.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience as a Circulating Nurse in the OR, or completion of an approved didactic pre-operative nursing class.
• Two (2) years of experience in ICU/PCU and/or a medical/surgical acute care setting.
• One (1) year CVOR/Open Heart experience is required.
• ICU experience and scrubbing experience are preferred.
