Regulatory Compliance Specialist
EHS Technician
The EHS Technician will be part of Environmental, Health, and Safety team across Inpria's operations ensuring employee safety and environmental protection. The role provides day-to-day EHS support, chemical-management, auditing, and compliance checks to keep the Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System organized, accurate, and inspection-ready.
Key
Qualifications:
- BS and/or MS in Environmental Science, Safety, Chemistry, or an associate degree with relevant experience
- Prior experience in EHS, laboratory, manufacturing, or regulatory preferred.
- Basic understanding of OSHA workplace safety requirements
- Understanding of chemical hazards
- Safety Data Sheet (SDS) knowledge and experience
- Basic computer skills with database software programs
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without the need for employer sponsorship.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to use a keyboard and mouse for computer data entry and/or analysis, and for presenting data.
- Ability to wear a respirator (upon training/certification) for processes that may require it.
- Ability to wear standard cleanroom attire in areas that require it.
- Ability to wear standard PPE in areas that require it.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery, including, but not limited to forklifts and drum lifters.
- 40 hours/week or more may vary depending on the needs of the department; occasional weekend or overtime may be required.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to table height.
- Ability to sit and/or stand in one place for extended periods.
- Physical activities include using hand tools, bending, stooping, pushing, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
- Standing, walking, bending, stooping, and crouching for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Required to travel 10% of the time (domestic).
Ensure SDSs are maintained in appropriate databases and available for business and employee needs
Review incoming chemicals against storage limits, operational risks, and EHS approval
Support SDS requests for external and internal chemical shipments
Keep SDSs database updated and available for review
Compile and track chemical inventories to ensure compliance obligations and legal requirements are met
Support EHS-related LIMS activities, including chemical and sample data entry, record maintenance, workflow support, and data accuracy
Support regulatory compliance and assist Regulatory Affairs team
Review departmental process instructions to ensure EHS expectations are met
Maintain departmental compliance calendar and schedule/support completion of required tasks
Assist department in maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications
Support incident processing, investigation, and problem solving
Conduct EHS audits as assigned and support corrective actions
Perform and document routine inspections of emergency equipment and supplies
Coordinate document reviews and periodic revisions as necessary
Support regulatory permitting and maintenance of compliance records
Assist during regulatory inspections and audits
Support continual improvement initiatives such as 6S and visual management
Perform EHS-related duties as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned.
