JOIN LANE COUNTY'S LEADING LANDSCAPE SUPPLIER! Lane Forest Products has a full time opening for a Garden Center Associate position at our Corner Store location in Glenwood.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide friendly customer service and ensure customer needs are being met
- Assist customers with plant selections
- Advise customers about plant care, watering and fertilizing best practices
- Display trees, shrubs and accessories in retail garden center
- Ensure the retail yard is stocked with sufficient quantities of merchandise
- Assist in ordering and receiving merchandise
- Accurate Cash handling
- Operate Forklift, Front End Loader and complete all associated training and reviews as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- 3 years of nursery or retail garden center experience preferred
- Working knowledge of inventory management including buying, appropriate in-stock levels, and retail pricing preferred
- Must have the ability to operate a Forklift and a Front-End Loader (training provided)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day
