Residential Conference Turn Assistant

Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill twenty-four (24) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week during academic terms and a maximum of 40 hours per week during academic breaks) Residential Conference Turn Assistant for the University Housing and Dining Services at Oregon State University (OSU). Residential Conference Turn Assistants perform custodial tasks in the Residence Halls during the summer.

RCTAs work as part of a team and individually empty interior and maintain cleanliness around buildings. RCTAs vacuum all carpeted surfaces in residence halls, fully clean residence hall rooms between guest stays, and prepare linen for the Residential Conferences program.

Position Duties Turn Assistance Duties
  • Moving and transporting furniture and equipment
  • Vacuum common areas and lobbies in the residence halls
  • Assist with residence hall cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, wiping out drawers, emptying interior garbage, vacuuming, and sorting recycling
  • Distribute linen and on occasion make beds in residential rooms for conference guests and students
  • Pick-up used linen from residential rooms and buildings to send to laundry services
  • Support end of season Room Readiness tasks
  • Assist with Move-in operations such as parking facilitation, residence hall cleaning, and more
  • Other duties as assigned
