This is a seasonal (temporary) position. Seasonal hours may be available through September based on business needs.
The role is responsible for hand‑building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy, using an electronic order system or order sheets, and building loads with a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The position must maintain a clean and safe work environment and may work across a variety of weather conditions and hours.
Transport truck loading involves moving full pallets onto a trailer and removing returned pallets or plastic flats, as well as unloading raw materials into designated warehouse space.
Bulk truck loading requires selecting designated packages and flavors, building pallets, maintaining stability through proper stacking and shrink‑wrapping, and loading them onto a trailer for local delivery. Unloading returned products and pallets is also part of the role.
Route truck loading involves selecting packages or pallets based on sales personnel orders, loading them into the truck, and unloading returned items. The position involves lifting 20‑45 pounds per case repeatedly, standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching throughout the work shift.
Primary Job Accountabilities- Drive a power pallet jack or forklift to the picking area and build pallet/load according to the load sheet or voice pick audio equipment (if applicable).
- Mark load ticket for out‑of‑stock items.
- Wrap pallet when load is finished.
- Complete paperwork with order for check before loading and have truck checked.
- Stage pallet and load it into the truck when ready.
- Complete partial pallets and put away mixed pallets.
- Maintain proper housekeeping standards in the work area.
- Maintain regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
- 18 years or older.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment (order selector/picking, product staging, powered pallet jack/forklifts, etc.).
- Driving a forklift (basic operations such as driving forwards, backwards, lifting and lowering the boom, and maneuvering in tight areas).
- Experience working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks).
- Experience working in a team environment (cooperating with co‑workers, joint problem solving).
