What will you be doing?
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you could be wearing many hats. A DSP provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and out in the community.
- Teaching the individuals we serve how to complete a given task.
- Assisting with daily living activities such as housekeeping, meal and menu preparation, grocery shopping, and day‑to‑day finances.
- Assisting with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, dressing and undressing, feeding, toileting and positioning when necessary.
- Providing transportation for the individual to delegated activities, including doctor appointments, community outings, shopping and vacations.
- Documenting and administering medication and health‑related tasks.
- Reporting to your supervisor any suspected medical needs, evidence of abuse, neglect, or other health and safety issues.
- Becoming a trusted friend to the individuals you serve, potentially becoming part of an extended family.

- High School Diploma or GED
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license (with less than six (6) points)
- Reliable transportation with current proof of state minimum auto insurance; most positions require use of personal automobile during work hours
- Must be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, drop‑ins, and 2½‑day shifts (40 hours a week)
- 100% paid training
- Holiday pay
