STNA​/CNA​/HHA at Home Health Agency - PRN​/Relief Pool

Home Health Aide (HHA incl. STNA, CNA, PCA, or DoDD DSP) SCHEDULE TYPE:

PRN Only / As Needed

• PRN = No Guaranteed Hours.

• Most PRN Shifts occur on Weekdays (M-F) during Daytime Hours (between 7-8 AM to 5/6 PM).
  • You do not need to be available every weekday, every week, or for the entire daytime window; however, you must have availability for at least some weekday daytime shifts.
  • Occasional evening or weekend shifts may be available but are uncommon.
  • Applicants seeking only evening, overnight, or weekend shifts cannot be considered at this time.
• PRN caregivers must accept at least 50% of cases offered within their stated availability and desired hours to remain Active and must work at least one case every 14 days (with exceptions when advanced notice is given).
• While not guaranteed, existing employees including PRNs will receive priority consideration for additional hours, recurring schedules, part-time positions, and full-time opportunities as they become available and if desired.

• Home Health Aide (HHA) requirements:
  • Either Active CNA or STNA certification + 2 or more years of paid experience
  • Or Active DSP Certification from Ohio DODD + 2 or more years of experience caring for persons with disabilities AND willingness to care for non-DODD clients.
  • Or +3 or more years of paid home health experience for HHA or PCA without certification.
• Additional Medication Certifications, Hoyer lift experience, specific disease-state care experience, etc., are highly desirable but not required.

This role serves clients in Coshocton, Ohio and surrounding areas in Coshocton County and adjacent counties within committed travel radius.

• Willingness to travel to clients up to a 25-minute radius (from your home) is required.
• Up to 45- or 60-minute client travel radius (from your home) is highly desired.
• Additional PRN, Part-Time hours or Full-time hours may be available for Aides willing to travel to adjacent and nearby counties beyond 1 hour (not required).

• While many organizations use PRN staffing as a short-term solution, Home Care Network values long-term relationships with both clients and caregivers. We are seeking professionals interested in building a lasting relationship with our team and the clients we serve.

• Must have a positive attitude, strong caregiving skills, and a compassionate mindset. Awareness that PRN caregivers often serve as substitutes for a client's regular caregiver is critical, as clients may be hesitant, nervous, frustrated, or uncomfortable with someone new in their home, or may have dementia, memory loss, behavioral challenges, mental health conditions, or past trauma.
  • The ideal candidate remains calm, respectful, dependable, emotionally mature, and reassuring, builds trust quickly, communicates professionally, and provides excellent care in challenging situations.
• Must be comfortable working in a variety of home environments, including homes with pets, smoke odors, clutter, family members or roommates present, and other common residential conditions. Caregivers must remain professional, respectful, and focused on client care while adapting to different home environments.
• Must maintain flexibility to accept assignments based on client and business needs within their stated availability. PRN schedules may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, short-notice assignments, as well as varying shift lengths, schedules, and client assignments.
• Must complete all required documentation accurately, thoroughly, and on time, including care notes, visit records, EVV requirements, incident reporting, and other client-related documentation.
  • Accurate and timely documentation is a condition of employment, to ensure timely payroll processing and quality assurance for our clients. Failure to complete required documentation accurately and within compliance standards or deadlines may delay payroll processing and compensation.
