Job Description
Our company, founded in 1976, manufactures ductile and gray acicular and iron castings and provides prototyping, heat treating, and international shipping services. The role involves supporting overall operations through various manual tasks.
Responsibilities- Perform safe operations as required.
- Process all paperwork related to assembly/disassembly and packaging.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area.
- Support production and quality standards.
- Carry out other duties assigned by management.
- Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning duties as needed.
- Interact with team members to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Lift, move, and transport materials and equipment, including continual heavy lifting.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and two years of related experience/training in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and follow quality process and work instructions.
- Must obey all safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Read and interpret production schedules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong mechanical and lean manufacturing skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to read a ruler and digital calipers.
- Capability to work a rotating shift and overtime as required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Licensed to operate a 3‑ton forklift truck.
- Quick learner capable of applying new skills immediately.
- Ability to work consistently, including repeated movements and tasks daily.
- Read and interpret a wide range of instructions and documentation.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Exposed to wet or hot, humid conditions; may require work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- Noise level usually loud.
The hourly rate for this role is in the range of $18.50–$21.00 per hour.
