Position: LPN (GMG)

LPN Position at Genesis Advanced Immediate Care

The LPN administers skilled direct and indirect patient care to an assigned group of patients according to the patient's plan of care under the direction of the physician or advanced practice provider. The position is required to adhere to universal precautions and is compliant with infection control policies. This incumbent carries out job requirements as delegated by and with the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider, or registered nurse.

Essential duties include:

  • Providing patient care, under the direction of a physician, in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Accurately taking and recording measurements or readings.
  • Administering prescribed medications.
  • Working collaboratively with other caregivers in the office.
  • Performing practice based procedures.
  • Scribing for physicians and/or advanced practice providers.

Qualifications:

  • One year previous experience.
  • Current Ohio LPN license.
  • Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of orientation.
  • Completion of an approved pharmacology course.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in an oral and written manner, as well as the ability to observe, assess, guide, and evaluate others.
  • Ability to collect data, interpret findings, set priorities and carry out established plan.
  • Ability to read, calculate, and prepare medication, as well as the ability to observe and analyze any resulting reactions and to apply clinical knowledge.

Working conditions/physical requirements:

  • May work in an environment with exposure to potentially dangerous/infectious materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions that may include the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Occasional overtime may be required and/or hours may be shortened as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, push, pull, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level.
