Job Description
This position is responsible for picking, staging, and safely delivering parts to pro customers, handling returns and cores, promoting current sales and loyalty programs through flyer drops, collecting credit accounts daily, building and maintaining relationships with Main Street and National Pro customers, assisting in upselling and cross‑selling to increase average transaction value, maintaining store cleanliness, performing general stocking, and engaging walk‑in customers to recommend appropriate parts or services.
All duties may be supplemented by additional responsibilities as assigned.

- Friendly and persuasive communication
- Ability to locate and stock parts with safety knowledge and skills
- Operating inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipment
- Sales aptitude and customer service orientation
- Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
Job Skills
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed.
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products.
- Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques.
- Automotive parts experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee will predominantly be walking or standing, and is required to talk and hear, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
The work environment is primarily inside, with occasional outside exposure to various weather conditions while installing batteries, wiper blades, or other tasks. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; explosives; and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.
Compensation RangeGood faith estimate: $12.20 USD to $13.21 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on geographic location, experience, education, and other factors.
