Responsibilities
  • Plan daily assigned job duties and collaborate with other team members for scheduled repair work. Read and understand written instructions such as operation manuals and LOTO instructions to ensure all work is performed safely.
  • Use hand or power tools and equipment to lift, hoist, and move parts and plant equipment with skill, care, and dexterity. Handle heavy materials and work in restricted areas. Use voltage, amperage, and ohm meters to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Utilize any and all electrical materials.
  • Work at McWane Ductile Ohio and McWane Poles facilities across all departments.
  • Operate electrical tools and meters required for the job: electrical voltmeter, megger, conduit bender, drills, and hand tools.
  • Adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures. Wear FR-rated clothing and special gloves required as PPE per Arc Flash Category 1-4 per NFPA 70E.
  • Selected candidates may work in areas where molten iron is present, conveying and pipe finishing systems, and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications

Team members who will support our McWane Way Culture and work together to make a quality product. Electrical experience preferred.

Prior Experience Required

Experience in installation and troubleshooting voltage circuits ranging from 24V AC/DC to 480

VAC. Previous experience with PLC and VFDs. Proficient in reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting equipment. Experience with equipment installation, panel building, and conduit bending. Minimum 3 years experience as an industrial electrician OR have obtained an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technologies or equivalent.
