Staff Accountant
Santa Ana, CA | $30-$33/hr Service/Construction Related Industry Our fast-growing client is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support general ledger accounting, job costing, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting activities. This role works closely with Accounting and Operations teams to help ensure accurate financial records and efficient business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Analyze account variances and support financial reporting.
- Maintain fixed asset records and support audit requests.
- Partner with AP, AR, Billing, and Operations on accounting-related matters.
- Assist with job costing, project accounting, and compliance reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience required (Dynamics GP preferred).
- Experience with job costing or project-based accounting is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
