The Document Clerk supports the Pre-Litigation Department in collaboration with the Healthcare Claims Analyst. The Document Clerk is instrumental in the process of obtaining documents and categorizing data for claims.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Assist with the maintenance and manipulation of document databases for purposes of facilitating productions, preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations
- Assist with document collection, production, organization, and management
- Assist with the maintenance and manipulation of document databases for purposes of facilitating productions, preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations
- Assist with the utilization of E-Discovery applications for purposes of document management and production including redacting and bates stamping
- Assist with routine preparations for and at trials, arbitrations and mediations including updating indices, chronologies, logs and tracking systems
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, printing and organization of documents and information
- Maintain quality and productivity standards as set by Management
- Influence others using a positive approach
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
- Other duties as assigned
- 1-3 years of clerical or administrative work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Experience in Healthcare (preferred)
- Experience working in a law firm (preferred)
