We are an end-to-end Renewable Energy provider, offering products to commercial and enterprise clients in EV Charging solutions, Fleet Electrification, Solar Micro-grids, Energy storage and Hydroponic systems. We have been experiencing tremendous growth in all these areas and operate under several government rebate programs that ensure a steady and reliable flow of revenues. Our company handles the entire flow of providing these products and services beginning with Sales, Provisioning, Design and Engineering, Contracting and Construction, Servicing and Maintenance.
We are a licensed C-10 contractor and operate construction crews in various areas of CA and soon the rest of the U.S.
This role is in-office, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM in Costa Mesa, CA. This is a mid to senior level role. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a background in Construction and Electrical procurement, coupled with excellent communication skills. We are looking for a detail-oriented construction estimator to advise on the foreseeable cost of each of our major developments.
The construction estimator will obtain all relevant project specifications, determine the most appropriate building materials, and secure favorable prices on all resources. The estimator will also inspect trends in construction to determine whether estimates are reasonable and competitive. The success of a construction estimator relies on translating project requirements into concrete figures with ease, adhering to financial constraints without compromising on our high standards.
- Collect all pertinent documents including property plans, technical drawings, project specifications, permits, and single line diagrams.
- Study documentation, meet with construction project managers, and inspect construction sites to fully understand required work.
- Account for all costs and keep finance in the loop.
- Decide on the most appropriate human and material resources for each project.
- Obtain multiple quotes for each resource and select the most suitable offers.
- Negotiate with service providers to secure better prices.
- Outline the work plan to gauge how much time will be needed to complete each development.
- Perform risk assessments to account for potential deviations from the project plan.
- Account for the use of our resources, plus a reasonable profit margin, to calculate an overarching price.
- Draft proposals that detail envisaged materials, costs, and time frames.
- Update project management tools such as Field Wire, Smartsheet, Excel, and others.
- Manage several projects at a time and implement running timelines and schedules.
- Degree in mechanical engineering, architecture, or similar.
- Qualification in project management is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrable experience as a construction estimator, with a deep understanding of electrical, concrete, asphalt, ADA, and other trades as needed.
- Ability to forecast the cost of high-ticket, involved building developments.
- Knowledge of relevant technical and non‑technical documents.
- Exceptional quantitative skills.
- Outstanding research and proposal writing skills.
- Ability to negotiate with seasoned vendors.
