About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Multifamily Estimator to join our preconstruction team. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor, a solid understanding of multifamily construction, and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for multifamily residential projects ranging from $5M to $50M+
- Analyze plans, specifications, and addenda to develop accurate and competitive bids
- Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and owners during preconstruction
- Identify scope gaps, value engineering opportunities, and risk items
- Maintain and update historical cost data and bid databases
- Participate in owner presentations and scope review meetings
- Support the project team during buyout and procurement phases
- 3+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor — multifamily experience required
- Strong understanding of multifamily construction methods, materials, and systems
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, and estimating software such as Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and civil plans
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids under deadline
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field — equivalent experience considered
