Our client, a luxury fashion brand
, is seeking an Alterations Specialist to join their South Coast Plaza location in Costa Mesa, CA
. This role is responsible for delivering expert garment alterations while providing an exceptional client experience. This position combines technical tailoring expertise with client interaction, ensuring garments are altered with precision, care, and attention to detail.
- Perform fittings, alterations, repairs, and garment adjustments to ensure exceptional fit and quality
- Work with a variety of luxury fabrics and garment types, including tailored and specialty pieces
- Consult with clients to assess fit needs and provide alteration recommendations
- Maintain accurate records and organization of client garments and alteration requests
- Press, finish, and inspect garments to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain sewing equipment and work areas to support efficient operations
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and client-facing teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Additional duties as assigned
- 5+ years of alterations, tailoring, or garment construction experience
- Strong knowledge of garment fitting, sewing techniques, and fabric construction
- Experience working with luxury, contemporary, or specialty apparel preferred
- Comfortable in a client-facing environment with strong communication skills
- Detail-oriented with exceptional craftsmanship and quality standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines
- Collaborative, coachable, and eager to learn new techniques and categories
- Strong client service mindset and professional presentation
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. and stand for duration of shift
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Chinese speaking skills preferred
Up to $42/hr
