Overview

We're looking for a highly organized Video Lead to manage our video production pipeline from intake through final delivery. This role combines strong video-editing experience with project-management skills to keep our content team moving efficiently across multiple brands.

The Video Lead will act as the primary point of contact for the editing team, ensuring projects stay on schedule, revisions are completed promptly, and communication flows smoothly between the creative team and editors.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day workflow of the video editing team.
  • Assign editing projects and balance workloads based on priorities and deadlines.
  • Coordinate schedules for editors and videographers (for both shoots and editing projects).
  • Review edits for quality, pacing, and brand consistency before they reach the Creative Operations Lead.
  • Consolidate and communicate revision notes clearly to editors.
  • Track project status and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Follow up with editors to keep projects moving and prevent bottlenecks.
  • Maintain organized project files and production workflows.
  • Help improve production processes and identify efficiencies.
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Operations Lead on priorities and creative direction.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional video editing experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects is a plus).
  • Experience managing creative projects or production teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Comfortable giving constructive feedback to editors.
  • Familiarity with Dropbox, Slack, Frame.io (or similar review tools).
Ideal Candidate
  • Thrives in a fast-paced content environment.
  • Has leadership experience managing creative teams.
  • Can balance creative quality with production efficiency.
  • Takes ownership of projects without requiring constant direction.
  • Anticipates bottlenecks and solves problems proactively.
  • Passionate about creating systems that help creative teams scale.
Relationship with the Creative Operations Lead

The Creative Operations Lead sets the creative direction, priorities, and overall production strategy.

The Video Lead owns the day-to-day execution by:

  • Managing editor assignments
  • Ensuring projects move smoothly through the pipeline
  • Escalating creative decisions only when needed

This allows the Creative Operations Lead to focus on:

  • Brand consistency
  • Systems and workflow improvements
  • Cross-functional collaboration with marketing and leadership
