Dental Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both patients and dental professionals.

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment by applying aseptic techniques.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials for various procedures.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
• Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and medical documentation efficiently.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and clinic operations.

• Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with dental terminology and systems is essential for effective communication within the team.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, particularly when working with younger patients.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
• Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately as part of patient assessments.

This full time position involves working Monday-Friday. Fridays are half day 8:30AM-12:30PM. No weekends.
