Overview
Vanguard University's Global Center for Women and Justice within the School of Theology and Ministry invites applicants for an Adjunct Professor qualified to teach the WJST 442 "Faith Based Responses to Human Trafficking" within the Anti Human Trafficking Certificate program.
Responsibilities- Teach a 3-unit undergraduate course for the Anti Human Trafficking Certificate centered on the response of faith-based actors in the movement to combat human trafficking.
- Use basic course components with relevant updates and deliver course content that engages students and fosters critical thinking, analytical skills, and ethical decision-making.
- Earned advanced degree in theology, ministry, public theology, social ethics, or course specific area.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level is desirable.
- Outstanding Christian character.
- Professional experience in the field of justice, ministry, and/or working with anti-trafficking organizations, NGOs, or church ministries.
- Fieldwork or mission experience related to trafficking or exploitation is desirable.
- Ability to work with diverse populations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
The following salary range reflects compensation paid for a 3-unit course (144 total hours), and varies based on the faculty member's highest earned degree. Total compensation is based on the number of courses taught and corresponding units for each course.
$3,120 to $3,720 per course
