Overview
Vanguard University seeks adjunct instructors on an as-needed basis for the course Lifetime Fitness and Wellness
. The Department of Kinesiology invites professionals of Christian faith who are committed to the integration of faith and learning in their field. Applicants must have demonstrated teaching ability and a commitment to working with students of color and encouraging diversity.
- Teach the above-mentioned coursework.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students in both theoretical and practical components of fitness and wellness.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and personal growth.
- Encourage students to adopt lifelong habits that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Master's degree (MS or MA) or higher in kinesiology or related field. Bachelor's degree with experience may be considered.
- Teaching experience at the junior college or university level.
- A vibrant Christian faith and commitment to an integration of faith and learning.
The following salary range reflects compensation paid for a 3-unit course (144 total hours) and varies based on the faculty member's highest earned degree. Total compensation is based on the number of courses taught and corresponding units for each course.
$3,120 to $3,720 per course

- Majors or fields of study, undergrad & graduate majors, minors, and areas of concentration.
- Most recent teaching experience with dates and locations of institutions, title/academic rank, full/part-time status.
- Specific listing of courses previously taught.
- Publications, presentations, honors, awards, and memberships in professional organizations.
- Most recent employment details: position/title, full/part-time, dates of employment.
- Any other qualifying experience, paid or voluntary.
- References - Names, e-mail, and phone numbers of at least 3 people not related to you for evaluation of professional abilities.
- Pastoral reference letter - Pastor or church leader.
- Transcripts - Unofficial transcripts accepted for application. If selected, notarized transcripts are required prior to employment.
