Position Description
The Department of Business and Management seeks applications for adjunct lecturers for one or more of the following marketing courses:
- Principles of Marketing
- Advertising & Promotion
- Consumer Behavior
- Direct & Interactive Marketing
- Sales & Sales Management
- Retailing/Merchandise
Vanguard seeks professionals of Christian faith who are committed to integration of faith and learning in their respective fields. Applicants must have demonstrated teaching ability and a commitment to working with and encouraging diversity.
Essential Functions- Teach one of the above-listed courses in marketing.
- Transfer knowledge including theory, practical skills, methods and techniques in his/her related field.
- Challenge thinking, foster debate, and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and thinking.
- Facilitate the learning of first‑generation college students and incorporate culturally relevant pedagogy within the classroom.
- Collaborate with department faculty in curriculum implementation, student support and continuous program improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Master's degree (MBA, MA, or MS) or higher in business or marketing.
- Demonstrated teaching ability.
- A vibrant Christian faith and commitment to integration of faith and learning.
The following salary range reflects compensation paid for a 3‑unit course (144 total hours), and varies based on the faculty member's highest earned degree. Total compensation is based on the number of courses taught and corresponding units for each course.
$3,120 to $3,720 per course

Accompanying Essays- Personal Testimony of Relationship with Jesus Christ. Provide a brief account of your faith journey, church attendance, ministry, outreach and service involvement, and any experience with Assemblies of God or other Pentecostal churches.
- Philosophy of Christian Education and Role of a Christian University. Explain what you believe are the essential elements of the educational theory and practice of a Christian University.
- Integration of Faith, Teaching and Scholarship. Explain how you integrate your faith with your discipline and in your teaching and scholarship.
- Colleges/universities attended, location, & degree or units earned.
- Majors or fields of study, undergrad & graduate majors, minors, and areas of concentration.
- Chronological listing of teaching experience – name and location of institutions, title/academic rank, full/part-time status, dates of employment.
- A specific listing of courses previously taught.
- Publications, presentations, honors, awards, and memberships in professional organizations.
- Most recent employment – position/title, full/part-time status, dates of employment.
- Any other qualifying experience – paid or voluntary.

Pastoral Reference LetterPastor or church leader.
