POSITION SUMMARYThe Department of Kinesiology seeks applications for adjunct instructors on an as needed basis for the following course:
Lifetime Fitness and Wellness. Vanguard seeks professionals of Christian faith who are committed to the integration of faith and learning in their respective fields. The applicants must have demonstrated teaching ability and a commitment to working with students of color and encouraging diversity.
- Teach the course syllabus and deliver lectures, labs, and assessments for the Lifetime Fitness and Wellness course.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students in both theoretical and practical components of fitness and wellness.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and personal growth.
- Encourage students to adopt lifelong habits that promote physical, mental, and emotional well‑being.
- Master's degree (MS or MA) or higher in kinesiology or a related field. A Bachelor's degree with experience may be considered.
- Teaching experience at the junior college or university level.
- A vibrant Christian faith and commitment to an integration of faith and learning.
$3,120 to $3,720 per 3‑unit course, based on the highest earned degree. Total compensation is based on the number of courses taught and corresponding units for each course.

ACCOMPANYING ESSAYS- Personal Testimony of Relationship with Jesus Christ – Provide a brief account of your experience of coming to faith in Christ. Include current church attendance, ministry, outreach, and service involvement, and any experience with the Assemblies of God or other Pentecostal churches.
- Philosophy of Christian Education and Role of a Christian University – Explain what you believe to be the essential elements of the educational theory and practice of a Christian University.
- Integration of Faith, Teaching and Scholarship – Explain how you integrate your faith with your discipline and with your teaching and scholarship.
- Colleges/universities attended, location, and degree or units earned.
- Majors or fields of study, undergrad & graduate majors, minors, and areas of concentration.
- A chronological listing of teaching experience – name and location of institutions, title/academic rank, full/part‑time, dates of employment.
- A specific listing of courses previously taught.
- Publications, presentations, honors, awards, and memberships in professional organizations.
- With the most recent employment, position/title, full/part‑time, dates of employment.
- Any other qualifying experience, paid or voluntary, or other.
Names, e‑mail, and phone numbers of at least 3 people not related to you who may be contacted for an evaluation of your professional abilities.

TRANSCRIPTSUnofficial transcripts are accepted for application. If selected, notarized transcripts are required prior to employment.
