Position Overview

The Admissions Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the school’s enrollment and admissions objectives by managing admissions operations, cultivating relationships with prospective families, and delivering a high-quality admissions experience. This position serves as a primary point of contact for applicants and parents throughout the enrollment process and collaborates closely with academic leadership, faculty, and administrative departments to support student recruitment and retention initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, detail-focused, and capable of maintaining professionalism and discretion while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced educational environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Admissions & Enrollment Management
  • Manage the full admissions lifecycle from initial inquiry through enrollment and onboarding.
  • Review and process admissions applications, transcripts, recommendation letters, academic records, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate applicant interviews, assessments, placement testing, and admissions appointments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date applicant records within the school’s admissions and student information systems.
  • Monitor admissions timelines, application completion, and enrollment deadlines to ensure efficient processing.
  • Prepare admissions reports, enrollment statistics, and related data summaries for school leadership.
Student Recruitment & Family Engagement
  • Serve as a professional and knowledgeable point of contact for prospective students, parents, educational consultants, and partner organizations.
  • Conduct campus tours, information sessions, open houses, and admissions presentations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with feeder schools, community partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Support recruitment and marketing initiatives designed to increase enrollment and strengthen the school’s visibility.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding academic programs, admissions criteria, tuition, school policies, and campus culture.
Enrollment Support & Student Onboarding
  • Assist admitted students and families through enrollment, registration, and onboarding processes.
  • Coordinate acceptance notifications, enrollment agreements, and admissions documentation.
  • Collaborate with academic, finance, and student services departments to ensure a smooth transition for incoming students.
  • Assist families with required forms, enrollment compliance, and orientation preparation.
  • Support student retention efforts by maintaining positive relationships with students and families.
Administrative Operations
  • Ensure admissions records and student information are maintained in compliance with school policies and applicable privacy regulations.
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical admissions files and documentation.
  • Assist in planning and executing admissions-related events, including orientation programs, shadow days, and admitted student events.
  • Provide administrative support for departmental projects and institutional initiatives as assigned.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to admissions workflows, customer service, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of admissions-related experience at a high school or university preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, and student information systems.
