Location: Newport Beach to Costa Mesa
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule:
5 days per week, Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m.– 2:00 p.m. (3 - 5 hours per day)
OverviewWe're hiring Instructional Assistants / Campus Supervisors to support K–6 students in public and charter schools throughout Newport Beach and Costa Mesa. As an Instructional Assistant and Campus Supervisor, you'll support teachers in general education classrooms, work one-on-one and in small groups to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally, and supervise students during breakfast, snacks, lunch, and recess to help maintain a safe and positive school environment.
ResponsibilitiesAssist teachers with classroom management and activities.
Provide individualized support for 1-3 K-6 general education students as needed.
Supervise elementary students during school hours, including transitions between classes, lunch, and outdoor activities.
Monitor campus safety and enforce school policies and procedures.
Respond to student needs and conflicts, promoting a positive school climate.
Must Have RequirementsAt least 3 months of experience working or volunteering with children
Strong communication, patience, and positive reinforcement skills.
Ability to adapt to varying student needs and maintain composure under pressure.
High school diploma or equivalent (education students encouraged to apply).
CPR/First Aid certification (provided if needed).
Must be 18 years or older
Nice to HaveStudents pursuing Education / Child development / Psychology coursework or degrees encouraged to apply
Experience in after-school programs, summer camps, tutoring, or youth mentoring
