We are seeking a passionate and experienced High School Computer Science & Math Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is an engaging educator who can teach both regular and Advanced Placement (AP) courses while fostering a challenging and supportive learning environment.
Position SummaryThe High School Computer Science & Math Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging instruction in both Computer Science and Mathematics for students in grades 9–12. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management, and the ability to prepare students for college-level coursework.
Reponsibilities- Teach high school Computer Science and Mathematics courses, including both regular and AP-level classes
. - Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with school curriculum and learning objectives.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, exams, projects, and other formative and summative assessments.
- Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate student records.
- Utilize the school's Learning Management System (LMS) to manage assignments, grades, attendance, and course materials.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and academically rigorous classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administrators regarding student progress.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and interdisciplinary learning.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Education, or a closely related field
. - 3–5 years of teaching experience at the middle school, high school, or college-preparatory level.
- Demonstrated ability to teach both Computer Science and Mathematics
. - Experience teaching regular and Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
- Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) (e.g., Canvas, Google Classroom, Blackbaud, or similar).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
