Overview
Coast Community College District (CCCD) includes Coastline, Golden West, and Orange Coast Colleges, enrolling more than 60,000 students each year in over 300 degree and certificate programs. Performance Responsibilities- Provide instruction according to established curriculum and course outlines.
- Maintain professional conduct and ethics.
- Keep current knowledge in subject areas.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities as a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
- Teach all scheduled classes.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, online, and/or off‑campus classes.
Minimum Qualifications
Part‑time, temporary appointment contingent upon employment history verification, background check, eligibility to work in the U.S., and approval by the CCCD Board of Trustees. Applicants should live within commuting distance to Orange County. Hours and effective date will be arranged with supervisor. Applicants remain in the hiring pool for one year and are considered for assignments as needs arise. Attendance is essential;
failure to meet attendance may result in termination.
Compensation based on Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) in accordance with the current Part‑time Faculty Salary Schedule.
