Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher

SPEECHCOM, INC is looking for a credentialed Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to temporarily serve the Newport-Mesa Unified School District. If you hold an active credential as an Education Specialist with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing authorization and you are looking for a short-term assignment, this is the perfect place for you!

Position Highlights

  • Rate of Pay: $50.00-$62.00 per hour W2 (depending on experience)
  • Full-Time:
    Maximum of 40 hours per week
  • Caseload:
    Includes students from all grade levels

What You Need

  • A bachelor's degree in related field (i.e. education, special education, deaf studies, linguistics, psychology, communication disorders, or child development)
  • Education Specialist Credential:
    Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Proficiency in communication methods used by students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and families.
  • Must possess sufficient technology skills to complete IEP documentation and communicate effectively via email.
