Strategic Kids is Hiring Bilingual Instructional Assistants!Location: Newport Beach to Costa Mesa
Pay Rate: $23-24 per hour
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule:
4-5 days per week, Monday to Friday (7:30am - 2:00pm)
OverviewWe're hiring Bilingual Instructional Assistants to support K–6 students in public and charter schools throughout Newport Beach and Costa Mesa. As a Bilingual Instructional Assistant, you'll assist teachers and communicate with parents/guardians during conferences and school events, as needed, during their workday, in addition to assisting Spanish/Mandarin-speaking or students in the classroom and at school by working one-on-one and in small groups to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with parents/guardians during conferences and school events, as needed, during their workday, in addition to assisting Spanish/Mandarin-speaking students in the classroom and at school.
Assist teachers with classroom management and activities.
Provide individualized support for 1-3 K-6 general education students as needed.
Must Have RequirementsMust be fluent in Spanish OR Mandarin (speak, read, write, and translate)
At least 3 months of experience working or volunteering with children
Strong communication, patience, and positive reinforcement skills.
Ability to adapt to varying student needs and maintain composure under pressure.
High school diploma or equivalent (education students encouraged to apply).
CPR/First Aid certification (provided if needed).
Must be 18 years or older
Nice to HaveStudents pursuing Education / Child development / Psychology coursework or degrees encouraged to apply
Experience in after-school programs, summer camps, tutoring, or youth mentoring
Experience translating a plus
