AVID stands for Advancement via Individual Determination. The AVID program focuses on enhancing the current curriculum and developing students' skillset to support them now and beyond their K-12 years. Under direct supervision of the AVID coordinator, tutors in the AVID program will provide academic and social support to intermediate and high school students who strive to attend college and achieve career success.
Specifically, AVID tutors support students directly utilizing the AVID Tutorial model, where AVID tutors help facilitate meaningful study groups with students. Following employment, training in the AVID Tutorial model will be provided. For more information about AVID, please see https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). In this position, you will have the opportunity to mentor, motivate and inspire students to earn success in their current coursework and visualize the positive impact of their effort in future endeavors.

- Monte Vista Independent Study School Hours of work vary and are flexible based on candidate's schedule. Hourly rate is $18.50/hr.
