Position Overview

We are seeking an organized, approachable, and student-centered Student Life Advisor to support the residential and extracurricular experience of our high school students. This position oversees dormitory life, coordinates after-school programs, and serves as a primary point of contact for students seeking assistance or guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the daily operation of the student dormitory and help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive residential environment.
  • Respond to student questions and concerns and coordinate timely follow-up with school administrators, teachers, dormitory staff, or parents as needed.
  • Communicate dormitory expectations, schedules, school policies, and important updates to students.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise after-school activities, student clubs, social events, and community-building programs.
  • Monitor student well-being and promptly elevate health, safety, behavioral, or emergency concerns.
  • Perform other student services and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, student affairs, psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
  • Two to three years of relevant experience in student services, residential life, education, youth programs, or advising.
  • Experience working with high school students, international students, or culturally diverse populations preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive matters with patience, discretion, sound judgment, and appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
