Senior Field Test Engineer

What You'll Do

• Lead with a deployed engineering and technical team to architect, plan and execute field test and demonstration activities for an Autonomous Underwater Vessel (AUV) development program
• Continuously drive test campaign progress by adjusting schedule and scope to manage real world effects, consulting with engineering teams
• Specify, identify and establish temporary and enduring test facilities, including regulatory considerations, approvals and compliance
• Conduct risk assessments for test and related operations, identifying and implementing mitigations
• Support hiring, staffing, and asset/resource demand planning across maritime programs

• Proven leader and manager with the ability to master a technical system and support it in austere environments. Must demonstrate an innate drive to be self-sufficient across the breadth of a technical system.
• Strong aptitude for problem solving in unstructured situations at the interface of hardware, software, and networking. Ability to drive challenging and vague technical problems to clarity and resolution.
• Naturally inquisitive, able to independently research and learn new technical components or concepts.
• Ability to develop complex operational and logistics plans to move people and things quickly, over long distances, in unfamiliar locations.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret/Top Secret security clearance
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including significant time spent offshore on vessels of all sizes.

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
• Experience developing high level/strategic plans that support company objectives and government customer needs in the pursuit of deploying, fielding, and operating robotic system or family of systems
• Experience managing a group or groups of highly motivated, dedicated and intelligent individuals who operate and test complex systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude with tools and electronics

US Salary Range $159,000—$211,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
