Early Career Mechanical Engineer

Costa Mesa, California, United States.

Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 USD / year.

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on advanced technology. The role involves owning early‑career mechanical design projects and prototype‑to‑production handoffs.

• Design & build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.
• Present design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, and design & execute hardware test plans.
• Use first principles physics as a basis for every decision.
• Get exposure to missile integration and testing.
• Travel to test sites and vendors as needed.

• Must be pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 months – 2 years of technical work, including a technical internship, and ability to start full‑time in 2026.
• Demonstrated hands‑on fabrication or laboratory skills.
• CAD skills (any platform) and ability to make high‑quality engineering drawings that meet common industry standards.
• High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export–controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on the program.

• Ability to integrate electrical components into designs (motors, controllers, sensors, etc.).
• Experience with machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and/or 3D printing.
• Have a bias for action.
• Be naturally curious about the technologies and tools you use.
• Low‑ego, high ownership, and mission oriented.

US Salary Range: $100,000 – $110,000 USD. The salary range is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors. Actual salary offer may vary based on experience, education, and business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full‑time offers.
