An emerging electric vehicle company is developing advanced EV platforms and prototype vehicles focused on lightweight architecture, high-performance engineering, and modern electric mobility systems. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who thrives in fast-paced development environments and wants to play a direct role in shaping cutting‑edge EV technology.
This is a highly hands‑on engineering role offering the opportunity to work across complete vehicle systems — from concept and packaging through prototype builds, validation, and integration. The position will begin as a contract engagement with strong potential to convert into a full-time direct hire opportunity.
What You’ll Work On:- Lead the design and integration of mechanical systems across advanced EV platforms
- Support battery packaging, mounting strategies, structural integration, and thermal considerations
- Collaborate closely with electrical, controls, and cross‑functional engineering teams
- Drive design reviews, engineering change processes, validation activities, and prototype development
- Develop and improve mechanical design standards, processes, and best practices
- Support hands‑on vehicle builds, troubleshooting, and system‑level integration efforts
- Contribute directly to the development of next‑generation electric mobility solutions
- 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- Background in EV, automotive, mobility, transportation, or prototype vehicle development
- Strong understanding of:
- Battery systems integration
- Chassis and mechanical packaging
- Thermal management considerations
- Vehicle‑level integration
- Prototype and low‑volume development environments
- CAD proficiency and experience creating production‑ready mechanical designs
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑moving, highly collaborative engineering environment
- Startup or early‑stage product development experience is highly desirable
- Work on clean‑sheet EV platforms and prototype vehicles
- High‑impact engineering role with visibility across vehicle development
