ABOUT THE TEAM

The Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineering Team is responsible for designing and integrating advanced hardware for missile platforms
. Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineers own the full development lifecycle
, from concept generation to integration and flight test, ensuring high-performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems that meet the demands of complex, contested environments.

• Design, develop, and integrate hardware for high-speed air vehicles.
• Own full design life cycles, from initial concept to real‑world deployment.
• Apply first principles of physics to guide all decisions and design processes.
• Lead design reviews, conduct analyses, visit vendors, and define and execute hardware test plans.
• Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.
• Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.
• Travel to test sites or vendor locations as needed.

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in advanced air vehicle programs.
• Familiarity with hypersonic missile systems and military standards.
• Hands‑on experience integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems into high‑speed air vehicles.
• Proficiency in designing mechanical parts using CAD software and a strong understanding of manufacturing methods, including machining, sheet metal work, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, and composite lamination.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and first principles.
• BS or higher degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

• Experience using Siemens NX and Teamcenter software.
• Expertise in air vehicle subsystem layouts, architectural trade studies, and vendor data evaluations.
• An active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• Proficiency in advanced engineering analysis, including structural, thermal, and/or electrical domains.

$129,000 – $171,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full‑time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
