  • Serve as the sourcing expert for composites manufacturing.
  • Lead the RFI/RFQ/RFP and strategic sourcing process for composites.
  • Own the business relationships with external contract manufacturers, managing continuity of supply, risk, cost negotiations, and new‑product‑integration to mass‑production execution.
  • Partner with engineering and contract manufacturers to influence technical design specifications and customize product and manufacturing requirements.
  • Analyze quote submissions with detailed cost breakdowns and perform supply‑chain data‑driven decisions based on total‑cost‑of‑ownership.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams to support prototype requirements, execute build milestones, and lead sourcing activities.

  • Negotiate key agreements to establish best‑in‑class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms.
  • Collaborate internally, resolve problems, and advance new supplier or product offerings.
  • Provide strong technical direction within the composites commodity, evaluating and guiding product strategy through the product life cycle.
  • Manage and lead the operations effort for developing new and adapting existing technologies.
  • Develop and execute commercial agreements that clearly define project expectations, including fixed and variable costs, lead times, schedules, and manufacturing capacities.
  • Conduct regular technology reviews for executive staff and management.
  • Manage supplier performance for the composites commodity, tracking key delivery, quality, cost, and innovation metrics.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for composite‑related issues.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in supply‑chain commodity management of composite manufacturing or sourcing engineering.

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or high‑tech industries.
  • Proficiency in total‑cost‑of‑ownership analysis for component and supplier selection in a product‑based ecosystem.
  • Strategic thinker with experience developing commodity strategies and roadmaps with engineering stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and influence across teams and through all organizational levels.
  • Team player able to wear multiple hats and fill gaps to remove roadblocks.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
