Anduril Industries is a defense technology company developing autonomous systems and AI-powered command and control platforms. This role is an Integration and Test Engineer supporting the development of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test plans, leading integration efforts across subsystems, and ensuring system performance meets specifications.
What You'll Do- Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans for development, integration, and acceptance testing of AUV platforms
- Author and review detailed operational test reports documenting step-by-step execution of internal and customer-facing test and evaluation efforts
- Participate in design reviews, requirements analysis, and system verification planning to ensure compliance with project goals and industry standards
- Support day-to-day test operations including pre-mission testing, launch and recovery, vehicle tasking, and data analysis
- Support integration of subsystems including sensors, navigation, propulsion, communication, autonomy software, and power systems into functional AUVs
- Conduct hands-on troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of AUVs in field environments
- Support local sea testing and offshore operations, including multi-day deployment missions
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration, and test
- Experience contributing to Technical Readiness Reviews (TRRs), Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports
- Familiarity with mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and software development concepts
- Field test and operationally focused environment experience
- Hands-on electronics troubleshooting and proficiency with basic test equipment
- Experience with Linux and command line interfaces, as well as software debugging tools
- Proficiency reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present technical findings to broad audiences
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
- Mechanical Engineering degree
- Hands-on mechanical build and troubleshooting experience on development hardware
- Experience developing mechanical and electro-mechanical systems in fast-paced R&D environments
- Experience operating and testing complex systems in maritime environments
- Experience integrating subsea sensors, underwater navigation, and communication systems
- Demonstrated subsea operational procedures and equipment knowledge
- Data analysis tools experience:
Python, MATLAB, R, SQL, PromQL - Test and evaluation program management experience
- Maritime offshore operations experience
