About the JobAnduril is seeking a Configuration Manager. The Configuration Manager is responsible for configuration management and change control activities. You will work closely with program leaders to manage a dynamic design, engineering, and manufacturing environment. You will capture and define the baseline for a program’s requirements, design, testing, manufacturing, and sustainment data structures (requirements baseline, EBOM, MBOM, SOM, BOP).
Responsibilities- Be an integral partner to product and program teams by executing configuration management activities based on the program’s configuration management plan.
- Ensure programs have robust and comprehensive configuration identification processes and documentation.
- Manage end-to-end configuration control, including engineering release and facilitation of critical forums such as change control boards.
- Collaborate with Configuration Management Analysts to build and maintain configuration status accounting dashboards; ensure critical data is captured, recorded, and distributed (decisions recorded, ECRs and ECNs populated, implementation checklists written).
- Coordinate and lead configuration audits (functional and physical) as needed.
- Own end-to-end change management for key programs: document, review, approve, and communicate engineering change requests in a timely manner.
- Set agendas for configuration management meetings (e.g., Technical Review Board, Change Control Board) in advance.
- Generate, populate, and submit change requests, including impact analyses.
- Manage product configuration by analyzing baselines (EBOM, MBOM) for compliance to industry and organizational standards.
- Support configuration management reviews and audits (FCA/PCA) and provide direction before, during, and after events to resolve issues.
- Perform periodic audits of as-built records as product definition data in the system (EBOM, MBOM).
- Serve as the expert resource for engineering release and change management standards; model the use of configuration management tools to manage engineering changes, part revisions, and BOM updates.
- Provide guidance and support to engineering teams in configuring EBOM, MBOM, and SBOM and associated workflows.
- 5+ years of direct product configuration management experience (product structure, parts, drawings, and requirements management).
- 5+ years of experience in high-complexity, high-rate production environments (e.g., aerospace, automotive, security systems, medical devices, nuclear).
- Familiarity with configuration management principles and practices (EIA
649/C, MIL-HDBK-61B). - Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and/or data management tools for configuration management of complex products.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear decisions.
- BA/BS in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Nuclear, Manufacturing).
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Experience in the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in technical writing of processes and procedures.
- Experience with Teamcenter, Teamcenter Requirements, Teamcenter Quality, Confluence & JIRA.
- SQL or database query skills.
- CM2 or equivalent configuration management certification.
US Salary Range: $146,000 — $194,000 USD. The salary range is an estimate based on compensation factors; actual offers vary by experience, education, and skills. Anduril offers competitive equity grants, comprehensive benefits, and total compensation beyond base salary.
