About the Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and motivated Civil Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on the planning, design, and delivery of critical water, wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced industry professionals on challenging and impactful municipal infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience in civil engineering design for water and wastewater facilities, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support water and wastewater conveyance and treatment facility projects.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documents.
- Assist with the design of pumps, piping systems, valves, drainage, grading, and hydraulic systems.
- Coordinate project designs with electrical, instrumentation & controls, and other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in project planning, design reviews, and quality assurance/quality control activities.
- Review construction submittals, RFIs, and contractor documentation.
- Develop technical specifications and engineering reports.
- Support project managers throughout project execution and delivery.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
- Minimum 5 years of civil engineering design experience.
- Experience with water, wastewater, recycled water, or stormwater infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of pumps, piping systems, hydraulics, drainage, grading, and treatment facilities.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with municipal infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with design and construction support activities.
- Experience reviewing contractor submittals and RFIs.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
