Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the month end and year end close activities and ensure accurate and compliant financial statements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and provide clear explanations for results and trends.
- Maintain and improve internal controls to protect assets and support reliable data.
- Coordinate audit activities and assist with tax preparation and related filings.
- Identify process gaps and implement system and workflow improvements to support scale.
- A Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- At least 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
- Advanced Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables, and experience with enterprise accounting systems.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and comfort navigating the general ledger for multiple entities.
- Strong analytical ability with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred but not required.
- Experience with complex topics such as derivative accounting.
- Ability to explain financial information to non finance partners in a simple and clear manner.
- Organized and detail focused with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
