Position: 2026 Early Career Financial Analyst

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI‑powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center.

As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril’s Autonomous Airpower (AA) business line develops and manufactures next‑generation unmanned aircraft for U.S. and allied air forces. As we scale into production with our Fury program, the AA finance team plays a critical role in ensuring tracking with precision and discipline. We partner daily with engineering, program management, supply chain, and operations teams to support financial reporting, cost tracking, and compliance with federal contracting requirements.

This is a lean, high‑performing team where you’ll gain exposure to complex aerospace and defense finance while contributing meaningfully from day one.

ABOUT THE JOB

As an Early Career Financial Analyst, you will support the financial operations of AA contracts through a combination of transactional work, data analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration. This is an excellent entry point into aerospace and defense program finance. You’ll work closely with senior analysts and program managers to ensure accurate cost tracking, timely reporting to the U.S. government, and clean month‑end close processes.

We’re looking for self‑starters with intellectual curiosity, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in defense technology and advanced manufacturing. You’ll be trained on the nuances of federal contracting, cost accounting standards, and program controls tooling as you grow into more strategic responsibilities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Support month‑end close activities including cost validation, accrual analysis, and variance review
  • Perform cost reclassifications to ensure expenses are charged to the correct contract, work package, and cost element
  • Review and correct timecard allocations in collaboration with program managers and employees
  • Conduct basic data analysis and reconciliation across financial systems to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with contract budget baseline maintenance, including updating work breakdown structures and tracking changes
  • Support billing and revenue recognition processes by reconciling costs to invoices and tracking unbilled accounts receivable
  • Partner with program managers, engineering leads, and supply chain teams to gather cost estimates and validate actuals
  • Build recurring financial reports and dashboards in Excel, Anaplan, and Foundry to automate recurring program financial deliverables
  • Learn and apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements over time
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 0–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related analytical role (internships and co‑ops count)
  • Strong Excel modeling skills and comfort working with large datasets
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and be eligible to apply for and maintain a U.S. security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Internship or coursework exposure to government contracting, cost accounting, or aerospace and defense
  • Interest in contributing to aerospace and defense industry
  • Exposure to data visualization or business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
  • Basic SQL or Python skills for data manipulation (nice to have, not required)
  • Understanding of manufacturing or engineering cost structures
