Job Duties
- Utilize a variety of computer programs in the preparation of financial reports and statistical analysis. Maintain computer programs used in the department.
- Provide support to all operating units/affiliates regarding expense variances which requires knowledge and familiarity of business operations, research and analysis of source documents (i.e. Corporate Disbursements, Corporate Accounting, etc.), and prepare Journal Entry source document for uploading into mainframe for corrections when applicable.
- Control accurate business organization structures via mainframe systems (TX700MO
, TX700YR
, J16, HRIS, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) for Payroll, Corporate Disbursements, Corporate Accounting, and other related production departments as a main source of the corporate structure. - Solicit, review and analyze budget/forecast/payroll packages submitted by all operating units/companies for completeness, accuracy and reasonableness. Review quality of information and advise Vice Presidents, managers, or budget liaisons of irregularities.
- Prepare reports, and perform statistical and financial analysis for all levels of management utilizing systems generated reports.
- Create and analyze recurring executive level reports from downloaded mainframe computer reports and outside support staff members. Provide reports in established databases using appropriate financial data manipulation techniques. Produce reports with accuracy, timeliness and without error.
- Originate and maintain financial historical files for analyses of short and long-range business plans. Files are used as a resource for executive level management, Financial Analysis, Corporate Accounting, Tax Administration, Strategy & Planning, Product Management, etc.
- Create forms, reports and procedures on Public Folders in Microsoft Outlook to enhance management's oversight of financial reports and to communicate with management throughout the enterprise.
- Initiate and conduct financial training sessions, seminars, etc.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
- Addresses various finance questions which may encompass Corporate Disbursements, Corporate Accounting, Purchasing, Facilities, Marketing, Payroll,etc. Addresses questions other business units may not have been able to resolve. Works under direct supervision.
- Bachelors Finance
- less than 1 year Financial analysis
- Moderate Microsoft Office skill desired (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Moderate knowledge of TSO desired (i.e. PSAR, downloads, etc.).
- Moderate skill with Monarch, Acrobat (PDF format) desired.
- General familiarity with club systems (SAS, MSAS, SIS, HUON, POS, IAP, LAWSON, CACS and SOS) or similar computer programs highly desired.
- Moderate oral and written communication skills preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
- Occasional travel to off-site business meetings or conferences. (5% proficiency)
