Business Systems Analyst

A client of Sharp Decisions Inc. is looking to bring on a Business Systems Analyst
. The position is 100% remote – PST working hours required
. The contract’s duration is 5 months with possible extension.
* W2 only.

We are building a unified, global modular platform for Security Operations
. Your role is to be the Senior Systems Analyst. You will navigate our international business units (BUs) to identify high-value capabilities that already exist, assess their potential for global scale, and drive the decision‑making process between "Reusing" an existing tool or "Building/Buying" a new one.

• Technical Brokerage:
  Facilitate high‑stakes design sessions between BU architects and implementers to reach a consensus on a single, global recommended solution.
• Requirements Synthesis:
  Translate diverse BU operational needs into a standardized set of modular requirements for the global platform.
• Capability Assessment:
  Partner with SMEs to evaluate "in‑flight" projects within BUs, determining if they can be elevated to global shared services.
• Use Case Development:
  Define and document specific use cases for Security Operations (e.g., automated provisioning, global logging, security scanning, identity perimeters) that serve multiple business interests.
• Roadmap Alignment:
  Work with BU leaders and SMEs to ensure the platform’s evolution aligns with both regional execution and global strategy.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work with Product Management, Dev Ops, and other service teams to align technical plans with our goals.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Gather feedback and success metrics of delivered functionality to identify enhancements for future releases. Track adoption and user satisfaction metrics.

• The "Technical Diplomat":
  You have a proven ability to lead a room of opinionated engineers and architects toward a unified technical direction.
• Platform fluency:
  Deep familiarity with technical platforms. You speak the language of "Platform as a Product."
• Financial Services Context:
  Experience in a global financial environment is highly preferred, as you’ll need to understand the scale and reliability requirements of our BUs.
• Process Excellence:
  Mastery of requirements gathering, gap analysis, and the ability to turn technical discussions into structured, actionable platform definitions.

  You have worked with security teams and understand security capabilities like vulnerability management, compliance, and governance.
• 5+ years of systems analyst experience.
