Staff Engineer - Hybrid

Job Description

The Experian Housing Engineering team builds and enhances platform solutions that support housing and rental products, data platforms, analytics, and AI-driven capabilities. This role provides technical leadership for engineering teams while remaining actively involved in software development, architecture, and delivery. The position partners across engineering, product, security, data, and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.

This is a hybrid position. You will report to the Director of Engineering.

You will have opportunity to:

* Lead engineering teams responsible for housing data, analytics, and AI-enabled platform solutions.

* Design and deliver scalable, resilient cloud-based applications and data platforms on AWS.

* Guide software architecture, development standards, and engineering best practices across teams.

* Collaborate with product, architecture, security, data, and operations teams to deliver business priorities.

* Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools and modern software delivery practices.

* Oversee product delivery, track progress through metrics, and support cross-functional initiatives.

* Improve platform reliability, security, automation, and operational efficiency while reducing technical debt and costs.

* Contribute to technology roadmaps, innovation initiatives, and rapid concept validation efforts

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

* 10+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technology development roles.

* Experience leading technical teams and delivering complex software products and platforms.

* Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops practices, software testing, and security controls.

* Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architectures.

* Experience building large-scale data platforms and applying AI/ML technologies in production environments.

* Experience working within Agile development teams and managing delivery across multiple stakeholders.

* Experience collaborating with distributed teams across different locations and technology domains.
