Data Analyst - Finance

Auto Club Of Southern Calif is seeking a Data Analyst - Finance to provide analytical and organizational support to Finance operations and management. In this onsite role in Costa Mesa, CA, you will help build reporting and analytics capabilities, including development and maintenance of a predictive churn model.

• Develop SQL scripts and long-term reporting under general supervision using tools and languages such as SQL, Teradata, Tableau, and Excel
  .
• Identify and analyze trends using root cause analysis
  , then provide solutions based on findings.
• Deliver ad hoc data analysis across multiple source systems using SQL, Teradata, Tableau, Excel, and Access
  .
• Design, build, and maintain a predictive churn model
  , including internal reporting on key churn indicators and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
• Organize projects clearly with an accurate plan for speed of delivery for initiatives.
• Document existing and newly created processes for implementation in production systems.
• Meet with Team and Management to support semi-complex production reporting and enhancements, including explaining challenges and offering solutions and recommendations.
• Collaborate with other Business Units, including Big Data, Marketing, and Product Management
  , to achieve shared goals.
• Query large data sets, validate data, and perform User Acceptance Testing
  .
• Troubleshoot data issues, develop solutions for complex data problems, and formulate calculations to support incentives, goals, and forecasts.
• Develop specialized reports and dashboards.

• Bachelors (or equivalent combination of education and experience
  ).
• 1-3 years experience in a traditional data or analytics corporate environment.
• 1-3 years experience compiling, analyzing, and reporting qualitative or quantitative data.
• 1-3 years experience manipulating data with SQL, Python, R, or related technologies.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong SQL skills with data mining knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VBA, macros, and complex calculations

• Experience building a statistical churn model is a plus.
• Able to rapidly learn new processes, databases, and applications.

  USD 74,500 - 99,500 per year
• Starting pay range: $74,500.00 - $99,500.00
