Senior Associate Attorney - Product Liability Defense (Costa Mesa)

A well-established defense firm is seeking an experienced attorney with 6-12 years of product liability experience to join its thriving team in Costa Mesa or Torrence. Remote candidates located anywhere in California may be considered-provided they are willing to travel as needed. This position can be structured as a Senior Associate, Senior Counsel, or Junior Partner, depending on experience and career goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product liability defense and be comfortable taking a leading role in complex litigation matters. This is a strategic hire offering high-level responsibility, excellent mentorship, and the opportunity to be part of a successful and growing practice group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all phases of product liability cases from inception through trial or settlement
• Develop case strategy, manage discovery, take/defend depositions, draft pleadings and motions
• Work directly with clients, including Fortune 500 companies and major manufacturers
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys (if at Counsel/Partner level)

Qualifications:

• 6-12 years of product liability defense experience
• Licensed to practice in California and in good standing
• Strong litigation skills and the ability to manage high-stakes matters
• Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Willingness to travel for depositions, court appearances, and client meetings

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary range: $195K-$230K, depending on experience
