The Anduril Maritime team is a dedicated group of driven professionals passionate about advancing subsea technology and delivering innovative capabilities to meet our customers’ needs. We are seeking an Operational Support Engineer to join the Dive-XL Field Operations team. In this role, you will lead all facets of operational support for the Dive-XL mission — owning logistics coordination, sparing strategy, equipment readiness, and site preparedness to enable operations of our cutting-edge system in some of the most demanding and dynamic conditions.
WHAT YOU’LL DOLogistics & Supply Chain Coordination:
- Own end-to-end logistics coordination for field operations; ensure timely procurement, delivery, and availability of all gear and support equipment across multiple assets.
- Drive sparing strategy and maintain critical spare inventory levels to minimize operational downtime.
- Coordinate with supply chain managers on procurement priorities, lead times, and inventory management.
- Lead Field Ops consumables tracking, forecasting, and replenishment.
- Manage RMA processes for defective equipment in coordination with field team and quality.
Equipment Readiness & Maintenance:
- Lead hands‑on troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of AUVs and heavy‑duty equipment in the field.
- Own equipment readiness standards across all operational assets; establish and enforce preventive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct monthly inventories of equipment spread across multiple assets and ensure accountability.
- Maintain an organized warehouse with properly stored materials, equipment, and inventory.
Site Surveys & Deployment:
- Lead site surveys for new and existing operational locations; identify logistical requirements and constraints.
- Coordinate test site mobilization and demobilization efforts, including over‑ground transport and craning operations.
- Develop and standardize deployment documents, checklists, and strategic planning materials.
- Travel and lead customer‑facing operations approximately 50% of the time.
Operational Leadership:
- Serve as the primary interface for logistics and sparing within the field ops team.
- Identify and drive process improvements across operational support functions.
- Adapt to emerging needs and take ownership of new projects associated with operational support.
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in logistics, equipment maintenance, or operational support
- Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating operational logistics in a field environment
- Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing complex inventories and equipment across distributed assets
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Oracle (or equivalent ERP systems)
- Excellent communication and ability to interface with customers, vendors, and cross‑functional teams
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to deploy up to 50% of the time
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
- In this role, you will be subject to pre‑employment substance screening and randomized substance screening, as required by the Company
- HMT 252 Shipping Excepted Lithium Batteries
- Knowledge of offshore HSE policies and best practices
- Experience supporting autonomous vehicle or marine operations
- Prior military logistics or expeditionary support experience
- 100T Captains License
