For our client, we are seeking a Head of Electrical Strategic Supply Chain to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.
This leader will own the strategy and execution for electrical commodity sourcing in a complex hardware manufacturing environment. The role will shape supplier partnerships, strengthen procurement capability across global sites, and partner closely with engineering to support design decisions and new product introduction. It also carries responsibility for mitigating supply chain risk, improving commercial outcomes, and driving value through disciplined analysis and negotiation.
Location:
Costa Mesa, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $253,000 – $336,000 annually
Responsibilities- Develop and execute global commodity strategies for electrical components
- Build and mentor a high-performing procurement team across global sites
- Manage executive supplier relationships and establish strategic partnerships
- Collaborate with engineering on design for supply chain initiatives
- Lead negotiations for service agreements and optimize contract terms
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Conduct cost modeling and evaluations to optimize supply chain value
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in electrical or electronics strategic sourcing or global commodity management in hardware manufacturing
- 5+ years of experience managing high-performing procurement or supply chain teams
- Experience negotiating enterprise-level agreements and managing diverse commodity portfolios
- Track record managing supplier life cycles and complex commercial agreements
- Understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) workflows
- Willingness to travel 25%–50% domestically and internationally
