Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center.
As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
The Head of Electrical Strategic Supply Chain is a Director leadership role responsible for architecting and executing the sourcing strategy across all electrical commodities. This includes semiconductors, custom and standard wire harnesses, connectors/interconnects, PCBAs, passives, and active discrete components. This role is critical to securing the advanced technologies and components that power our mission‑critical hardware. You will navigate complex geopolitical landscapes, tightly regulated defense supply channels, and constrained global commodity markets.
You will lead a high‑performing team to build a resilient, scalable, and high‑velocity supply chain capable of moving rapidly from New Product Introduction (NPI) to high‑volume production. Partnering closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Executive Leadership, you will secure supply continuity against global market volatility, drive cost and technology roadmaps, and negotiate key commercial partnerships with global component manufacturers, distributors, and contract manufacturers.
YOU'LL DO
- Enterprise Supply Chain Vision & Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive global commodity strategies across all electrical sub‑tiers—semiconductors (ICs, SoCs, microcontrollers, FPGAs, power electronics), custom wire harnesses & cable assemblies, connectors, and passive/electromechanical components.
- Team Leadership & Scale: Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing team of commodity managers, strategic sourcing leads, and technical sourcing engineers across multiple global sites.
- Executive Supplier Relationship Management: Serve as the executive sponsor for Tier 1 suppliers, Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and critical technology partners. Establish long‑term strategic alliances, joint development agreements, and robust performance management systems (QBRs, KPIs, scorecards).
- Cross‑Functional Engineering Alignment: Partner directly with Electrical Engineering, Layout/Component Engineering, and Hardware Architecture from early concept phases to drive "Design for Supply Chain" (DfSC), alternate component qualifications, and standardization across product lines.
- Commercial & Strategic Negotiations: Lead high‑stakes negotiations for master service agreements (MSAs), development agreements, long‑term supply agreements (LTSAs), and complex statement of works (SOWs)—optimizing pricing structures, IP protection, warranty, payment terms, and lead‑time commitments.
- Supply Chain Resilience & Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify single‑source dependencies, geopolitical vulnerabilities, and capacity constraints. Drive proactive risk mitigation plans, dual‑sourcing strategies, and strategic buffer inventory models.
- Cost Architecture & TCO Modeling: Champion robust "should‑cost" modeling, teardown analyses, and TCO evaluations to optimize value from concept through end‑of‑life.
- Executive Communication: Conduct regular operational and strategic reviews with C‑suite and executive leadership, serving as the primary…
