About the Job

We are seeking a skilled LRU Technician to join our maintenance team. The LRU Technician will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, testing, and replacement of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) used in complex systems, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair LRUs in accordance with technical manuals, schematics, and engineering directives.
  • Perform functional and operational tests on LRUs using specialized test equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Replace faulty LRUs and support the installation of new or repaired units in the field or on production lines.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, testing results, and parts usage in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve reliability.
  • Adhere strictly to safety, quality, and environmental procedures and standards.
  • Support root cause analysis and provide feedback for continuous improvement of LRU designs and maintenance processes.
  • Participate in training and skills development activities to stay current with evolving technologies and standards.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Previous experience as an LRU technician or in a similar role within aerospace, defense, telecommunications, or related industries.
  • Proficient knowledge of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems related to LRUs.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and functional test systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and potentially on-call if required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) and calibration procedures.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety practices.
  • Basic soldering and assembly skills.
  • Familiarity with LRU tracking and inventory management systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle small parts and operate fine motor tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
Compensation and Benefits

US Hourly Range: $28 — $38 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
